The Task
In the ever-evolving landscape of digital marketing, building a strong brand identity and establishing an online presence has become crucial for businesses. Our digital marketing agency recently had the privilege of working with Elphicks of Farnham, our local department store. We helped them to rebrand their logo and develop a new website to bring the look and feel. This article delves into the success story of our collaboration and highlights the key components of our branding strategy and website design.
A well-defined brand identity is the key to standing out in today’s competitive market. Our agency conducted extensive research and worked closely with the Elphicks management team to understand their vision, target audience, and core values. Based on these insights, we devised a comprehensive branding strategy that encompassed a number of elements…
How We Helped
Logo Redesign
We recognised the need for a modern and visually appealing logo. Our talented graphic designers created a new logo that was sleek, fresh, and aligned with the department store’s identity while keeping a touch of nostalgia for loyal customers.
Colour Palette and Typography
It was clear from the start that the team at Elphicks, Farnham wanted a fresh new look, while maintaining some of the core values and nostalgia that the long standing department store holds. That is why we chose to stick to their original colour pallet and freshen up the typography instead with a newer more modern look.
"They shared our passion for creating a non-transactional website"
Brand Messaging
Capturing the essence of a brand requires compelling and consistent messaging. Our expert copywriters crafted persuasive taglines and brand narratives that resonated with the target audience, enticing them to explore further.
Brand Guidelines
To ensure the brand remains consistent across all touchpoints, we created a set of brand guidelines. These guidelines serve as a reference for the department store’s team to maintain a uniform brand image in their marketing campaigns and communications.
“We chose Thunderbolt as our website developer, over several highly competent competitors. The reason for that was they shared our passion for creating a non-transactional website that would mirror and expand on the work we have done over recent years; to capture the essence of a 140-year-old independent store which still offers a highly competitive range of quality goods within a modernised traditional setting, serving the local community.
Saybhan and his team worked closely with our team to ensure they understood what our business stood for and what we wanted to achieve. From branding to page design, responsiveness to SEO, every step was explained, and discussions took place until we were satisfied with the outcome.
Needless to say, we are very happy with the completed website and would highly recommend
Thunderbolt to prospective clients”
