Shu Da is a sustainable lifestyle company that specialises in eco-friendly slippers and trainers. They are a white label supplier for many high street brands.
When the Director and Marketing Manager of Shu Da recognised the need for support with their direct-to-consumer business, they approached our Surrey digital agency to help them communicate their brand’s ethics and increase sales by utilising a multi-platform digital campaign.
As an already-established sustainable footwear company, Shu Da was looking to refine its messaging ahead of the Q4 season which is traditionally one of its busiest seasons. They also wanted to improve the performance of their online marketing channels.
They had a few ideas in mind, such as optimising their PPC campaigns and reviewing their social content, but they were unclear on the best way to communicate their new direction as a lifestyle brand. So, Thunderbolt stepped in as an agency that had experience in running online lifestyle and fashion campaigns.
Consumers are now much savvier about blockchain, slow fashion and businesses that use greenwashing. We needed the right messaging to present Shu Da as a leading, ethical business. Our first step was to arrange a Branding Workshop to clarify Shu Da’s messaging and create a clear direction toward becoming a lifestyle brand.
Once we put together Shu Da’s ethical credentials and their brand manifesto, our efforts were to focus on getting these right messages across to their target audience, using the correct marketing channels.
The immediate quick win was in their PPC campaign, which we completely restructured and optimised. We worked with their internal marketing team to craft a social media strategy that increased engagement and reach. And, as an ongoing exercise to improve their search engine rankings and their perceived expertise, authority and trust, we crafted a content and communication strategy.
The results were outstanding, with a 43% surge in transactions from Google Ads during the holiday season compared to the same period the previous year. Thunderbolt Digital helped make Shu Da’s Black Friday the best one yet and we’re excited to help Shu Da continue to grow in 2023.
