EchoMed is a private cardiogram clinic located in the heart of Farnham, Surrey. It is owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Dr. Edd Maclean and Alex Maclean. The team has a passion for helping people who may be concerned about the early symptoms of heart disease.
When EchoMed came to Thunderbolt, they were a start-up with a vision but were not sure how to execute it.
As a new product in the market and with a challenging topic to cover, EchoMed needed expert help to establish a brand presence and to generate leads for the clinic. This would mean branding, website design, and marketing their services to a diverse audience ranging from young active individuals all the way to over 50s, concerned about their heart health.
Thunderbolt started by creating a strong brand identity for EchoMed. When doing competitive research, we noticed that there was a lot of ‘NHS’ blue, selling to GPs. But a heart scan can be scary, so we realised that there was a way to disrupt the marketplace. We needed to get the message across, but in a way that wasn’t daunting to the privately funded, end user.
It needed a warmer, more friendly approach to design. We crafted a personalised logo, incorporating the ECG, a heartbeat and the heart itself, as well as a brand guidelines, that represented their vision and mission.
We then designed a modern and user-friendly website that featured a clean layout, intuitive navigation, and informative content that explained the clinic’s services and benefits. To reach a diverse audience, we combined PPC (paid advertising) SEO and social media into a multi platform strategy.
In less than nine months, Thunderbolt’s efforts helped EchoMed achieve outstanding results. The website and social media campaigns generated a significant amount of traffic and leads, resulting in bookings through pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. EchoMed’s excellent services, combined with Thunderbolt’s marketing expertise, helped establish the clinic as a trusted and reliable brand in the health sector. This has led to EchoMed winning the FSB (Federation of Small Business) South East Startup Business Award. They also have a shot at the overall national award to be held later this year.
EchoMed’s success story continued as they opened a new clinic in Emsworth, Hampshire, attracting new patients. With the help of Thunderbolt’s marketing strategies, EchoMed is ready to achieve greater heights in the healthcare industry and continue to expand in the future!
